Rant and Rave Wednesday

Little Ms Blogger started airing her Rants and Raves on Wednesday, be sure to check her out and see who else is getting it all out in the open today.

***********************************************
Because there is nothing better than starting out your post talking about poo...
Rave: Jenny poo'd twice on our walk this morning.

Rant: Then she came home and did the boot-scoot-&-boogie on my rug. It's cream colored. Now it has brown streaks too. I am not pleased.

Rant: It was butt-cold out there. Actually, it wouldn't have been so bad if the wind wasn't howling through my soul.

Rave: We did it anyway and can now sit in the warm kitchen with a cuppa joe.

************************************************
Rave: I am a bingo ROCKSTAR.
Yes, that's right. I had a great time at the ol' nursing home last night. Actually tho, it was the "retirement community" that had the bingo/Christmas party. It's a graduated community and starts with independent living and goes thru assisted, nursing, to alzheimers.
I was the caller and I had a great time with it. I made jokes and did a little "stand-up". I had those old people rolling on the floor. And not just cuz they had those little rollators. Really.

Rant: Whenever I called out I-17 I'd say "I am 17 years old" and those old people all laughed and said 'yeah right' and 'so am I'. No one believed that I am 17. Kinda hurt my feelings. (hahaha)

Rave: I was home by 8:45 feeling good and warm-hearted. Hubby had the fire going and we shared a bottle of wine.

Rant: He thinks I'm a bingo dork. You probably do too. But that's okay, when you are old your kids put you in a home maybe someone will come and make you laugh one day and you'll think of me.

*************************************************
Rave: I am almost done with my Christmas cards.

Rant: I ran out of stamps

Rant: I also ran out of cards

*************************************************
Rave: My scale isn't stuck anymore :)

Rant: Absolutely none. It even went in the right direction. Of course I've been working my patootie off at the gym so it's about time it went down a bit. Still needs to drop some more tho.

***********************************************
Rave: If you're an artist, or want to be an artist, or want to pretend to be an artist, take a look at Mr Toast, he's got a great project going on. I know many of you will be interested, it looks cool.

Rant: I have absolutely no talent, but I am going to give it a shot.

**************************************************
I guess that's it for me. What are you ranting and raving about today?

Resolve works well for my carpet messes. What nursing home were you at. I really hope I never am sent to a home. They are often sad smelly places.

I sat down at the Stardust Casino's bingo room one time and played bingo for like 3 hours from 4 am til 7 am once. God I was so effed up. But, it was fun. Especially since you get free drinks while playing. After that I had to fly home. I don't remember anything about that flight.

I love bingo...so, you're either not a dork or I am one too. I'd like to think you're not.

Great news about the scale!

Hugs!!

Brian: I plan on removing the brown in the carpet, just haven't had time yet this am. But I'll still be 17. It was a very good year. Just ask Sinatra.

Goose: Luckily most of the house is wood, but she manages to find any bit of carpet to wipe her butt. that must mean she's smart, right?

Jay: the Stardust? hahaha was this Reno or Vegas? I know Reno had one, I've actually been there. It might b closed now, I'll take a look when I'm out there for Chrsitmas

LMB: Let's just agree that neither one of us are dorks, kay?

GEM: Playing is fun, but I had a great time being the caller. You know, I was up in front and everyone was paying attention to me... not like at home...

The best part of volunteering with the "older folks" is you know you'll always be home early.
I wish I could have witnessed your stand-up routine. I bet you were very funny
Congrats on the scale! That's awesome!

It sounds to me like you are completely done with your Christmas cards. And good for you for helping out with the old folks.

I love that you are a bingo dork. Reminds me of my mother. And what a fun thing with Mr. Toast. I probably have to do it!

Tori: It was great being home before 9. I probably would have been home earlier if I could keep my mouth shut, but I tend to gab.

Otter: Nope, I bought more, so I'll have to finish them tonight or they might be Ground Hog Day cards :)

Barb: Your mother is kind of a dork. I'll take that as a complement :)

Bambi, if you work your patootie off in the gym, aren't you just building muscle? Since muscle weighs more than fat (I think) your scale probably won't move much. But don't stop! If you look anything like your photo here, you are already gorgeous - so don't quit on a good thing. :)

I love that you're entertaining the bingo crowd like that. You're fun even though you have poop streaks on your floor. ;)

You ran out of stamps and cards because you sent them all to me when you sent me the adorable little book and chocolate candy for being your 101st follower! LOL!

You're a good person for sharing your self with the retirement community which makes you a rock star in my book.
