The Good, The Bad, and the Sucky Part

The Good:
Actually I should have called it The Awesome cuz that's what it is! While I was in New England, Little Ms Blogger bestowed upon me the Love Ya Award. I'm so honored and excited and all gushy inside!
Here are the rules:

"This award is bestowed on to blogs that are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

1. Barb at Sassy & Ginger Chronicles
2. Marion at Create Joy and Wonder
3. Amanda at Four Molnars
4. Willow at Willow Manor
5. Lordana at Escape into my Thoughts
6. Marinik at Marinik's blog
7. Ali at Little Pink Clock
8. Lisa Michelle at Random Thoughts of a 30-something

Ok. That was kinda hard choosing just 8. There are so many good blogs out there and I find more every day. But check these ladies out, they are awesome. Oh and go ahead and check out Otin if you haven't, he loves being tagged for crap.

Ok, now The Bad but it's really just The Sad
I can't do Pharmacy Friday anymore. Well, I can't answer questions anyway. Apparently I can get sued. Husband has been worried about it for a while so I checked with a lawyer friend of mine and unfortunately she agrees with him. If you want you can give me topics for me to write about, but I can't answer any personal questions. I'm really sad about it because I love Pharmacy Fridays, but I have lots of girls to put through college and pay for weddings etc.

The Sucky
I hope I don't lose too many followers over the Pharmacy Friday thing. It sucks that as a society we are all sue-happy (and not Sue- Happy -- you know cuz my real name is Sue -- you know that right?). Oh well. Now I have to put my life back in order since it's my first full day back from vacation. It's amazing how much dogs will shed in a week...

I so enjoy Pharmacy Friday as well. I've learned a lot. But you can't get rid of me that easily! Also, I'm wondering how it's different from you, the pharmacist, giving out advice if I just stop in to the pharmacy on any given day? Because your employer backs you? I'm guessing that's it. Poop.

Can you still give non-drug related info? I have a question that's been bouncing around my head for ten years or so. I used to work for a doctor. At one point she got a letter from the state blabbity blah blah drug board that said there was concern that Mrs. X was using questionable practices to obtain and fill multiple prescriptions for narcotics. Now my question is, how did they know? Is there an agency that tracks all the pharmacies together? Would one pharmacy have had to report her? I suppose there are loads of details I'm not familiar with.

Thank you for the lovely award. I'm going to check out the other blogs you listed as well!

Congratulations and going to check out the new reads. Yep you are right about Otin. ;-)

Do you think it was because I wrote a blog about how I'm always looking for a reason to sue someone and how I was not above manufacturing an issue to do so??

Do you think that had anything to do with it?

Well crap. I will miss my internet pharmacist. I will still come back here -- maybe you could still allude to the next new diet drug and adderall every once in a while so I feel like you're still listening to me!?

Thanks for the award! I'm so honored. And it's my first!

Oh For Goodness Sake... just call it something else and write a disclaimer that you can't be sued cos you gots shizzle to pay for.

Well anyway... thank you so much for the award and for the confirmation that Reno is better than Vegas!!

Can't tell you how 'cited I am!!

Bambi, I always thought it was very courageous of you to share your info by answering questions - being paranoid such as I am, I am always concerned about getting sued for something. I have enjoyed Pharm Fri, appreciated your excellent answers to my questions, and I will still be tuning in!

Do fake pharmacy Friday -- things you should never do to treat an ailment...or state obvious rules like letting your child wear a plastic bag over his/her head is a bad thing....

that sucks.

I'm a little hurt you didn't tag me for this award. You know how I want to fit in :-) Luckily though Lisa Michelle tagged me for my first ever award.
Too bad about Pharmacy Fridays...

Thanks for the award! You have a special place in my blog heart! I loved Pharm Fridays. I do think you could get away with putting in a little disclaimer, however, I understand if you don't want to do it. And you are probably right. to save your Ass and your money you probably don't want to do it.

And of course. I'm not going anywhere. I like totally randomness blogs.

Oh, too bad about your Pharmacy Friday! Blogs always seem like such intimate, friendly places that a person can forget about the public domain aspect.

But congrats on your award! I only know one of those blogs, so lots more good ones for me to check out. (Can you prescribe me some more time?)

I'm totally with McGillicutty on this one. There must be a way to get around it. Put a disclaimer and that should be enough. You're not even using your real name or anything. Sheesh. Americans.

I did wonder about Pharmacy Friday and wondered about the liabilities. Too bad. It was such a great post.

I am totally honored. Thank you very much!!!!

yeah, if Dr. Grumpy gets to post about his trials and tribulations as an neurologist, you can talk about medicine, although he's not giving out Doctorly advice, just funny stories...anyway..

It's cool Bambs...I mean, I always like beer, or just tag me when you receive another award!

I kinda wondered about pharmacy Friday. I totally understand. I do not blog about the details of work either. I don't want to lose my chocolate money to some asshole parent.

No one did you lose me over this.

that totally blows, but you need to protect yourself. don't worry I'll still read your blog. I didn't particularly care for you telling me not to drink wine with my melatonin anyway :-)
