A Sunday With Me

Bob and I had a wonderful afternoon together -- with no teenagers ruining the moment -- so I thought I'd share some of the highlights... No Otie, I'm not sharing those highlights, but I'll share these...

majestic bald eagle in Grafton, IL

river sharks?
no, but I was surprised to see that "old man river" will actually ice over

wine tasting on a lazy sunday afternoon

eagle watching on the chain of rocks bridge

interesting reflection

How did you spend your sunday afternoon? Better yet, how will you spend your sunday evening?

Looks and sound like a nice afternoon...actually any time parents get a chance to spend some time away from their kids, would be a nice afternoon. I spent my afternoon watching football and going through clothes the kids have out grown. So exciting. :)

Reading blogs and learning the computer system at work, via the web.

Watching The Sopranos and hoping my little one stops throwing up. Maybe the pharmacist you covered for is contagious. (Joking!)
She picked up a bug somewhere but she's resting...So I'm on the computer.

Hugs!!

I miss Sundays! The weekend here is Thursday / Friday...when Sundays come around I always think I should be staying in bed and doing nothing. Friday is the new Sunday ;0) Looks like you guys had a perfect day.

Once in a great while we'll get an afternoon or evening without the kiddos and the silence is blissful!

Beautiful eagle picture. I spent my Sunday with one of YOUR teenagers! Actually, I invited her since you abandoned her, he he. She came with me to pick up our new foster dog.

well, as my mother noted...I spent the entire day in my pajamas watching The Tudors.

Since I spent Saturday in NYC, I spent Sunday with hubby snuggling on the couch in front of a fire and some trashy movies.

Looked like a fun day, the kind I really enjoy.

My Sunday was spent in bed with a tummy ache and "Man on Fire" on the tube.

Meh...

Well, you look like you had more fun than me, I did laundry, cleaned bathrooms, and changed sheets. It was not all bad as I got to take a nap and paint some.

wonderful photos! I absolutely love the last one and that one with ice is gorgeous...

I spent entire day on Sunday trying to get out of bed. It was not a good Sunday, one that needs to be forgotten as soon as possible...

Honestly? I was up Saturday night until just after 4am Sunday cleaning the house. Slept for 3 hours, was up for the day. The Wife had invited some people that work for her over and I was going to cook. I started cooking at 1:30 and finished up at 3:30. The menu: Pecan Encrusted Pork Tenderloin, Three Cheese Mac & Cheese, Green Beans with Almonds, Parmesan Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Garlic Bread, Whole Grain Bread, and Salad. For dessert: two chocolate pies I'd made the night before. All in all, I'd say it was a pretty good Sunday.
